Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is a Mexican American Sportcaster. She is currently a sportscaster for ESPN in the role of anchor for SportsCenter reports and hosts SportsNation. She started working at ESPN at the end of 2016. Her mother is the television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta has been bilingual since age nine. Her skills were instrumental in helping her land her first position as production assistant at Univision Miami in which she collaborated with producers of shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. A CBS station that is located in St. Petersburg hired her for a position as an sports reporter. She was a reporter at KNVO TV 48 Univision in Rio Grande Valley Texas. In reporting on news stories related to drug trafficking and immigration both at the Texas as well as the Mexico the border. She worked as a news reporter on Fox2 News, which is a Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. The duties of anchoring on weather and sports was often requested. Deportes 23 in Dallas, Univision's station affiliated with Dallas. In that station, she was given greater duties. She also did segments on MLB's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason and Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. The anchor also worked in a similar as a reporter for the magazine program Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta's parents come origins from Veracruz Mexico. They eventually moved into Mexico City where she was born on the 22nd of November, 1985. She is younger than her sister. The family moved to Miami in 1992 following the departure from Mexico. They divorced shortly thereafter in 1995. Her mother got married to with a naval architect called Fabio Fajardo who died from kidney cancer in 2006. In the holiday in the summer that she lived with her sister and her sister in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had secured the job. At the time of her senior year in high school and yet knowing exactly about what she wanted to pursue in her future, Antonietta was able to visit the University of Mount Union to determine if the school was suitable for her needs. The campus was a dream for her. They also offered the college she had always wanted. She graduated from high school and was accepted at the college as a media studies major. She developed a long-lasting relationship with her teacher Mark Bergmann who was the director for WRMU 91.1 FM, a station of which she was a participant. The professor who taught her Mark Bergmann inspired her with his enthusiasm in journalism. He also deeply impacted her.
